Since the war’s beginning, the Security Service of Ukraine liquidated 5 enemy bot-farms, amounting to over 100 thousand fake accounts, reported the press service of the SSU.

They were working in Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Ternopil, Poltava, and Zakarpattia. 

Fake account were created within various social networks, including those that are currently prohibited in Ukraine.

By using them, the “bot army” was spreading fakes about the rf war in Ukraine, and the mass imposition and justification of russian aggression and ideology were implemented. 

This way, the enemy was trying to inspire panic mood among Ukrainian citizens and destabilize the social and political situation in various regions. 

During the searches, the law enforcement representatives discovered:

  • over 100 GSM-gateway sets,

  • almost 10 thousand phone cards of different mobile connection providers, that were used to conceal criminal activities,

  • laptops and computer equipment with the evidence of unlawful actions, 

  • draft accounting records.

Based on these facts, the SSU has started the criminal proceeding according to the art. 110 of the Criminal Codex of Ukraine.

Thanks to the Ukrainians’ complaints, it has been possible to ban 1,500 enemy resources in social networks.
