In Irpin, russian occupiers killed parents of Lviv Opera conductor, Ivan Cherednichenko

The Head of the Music Department, the conductor of the Lviv National Opera, Ivan Cherednichenko, lost both parents due to the military invasion of russian troops of Irpin in the Kyiv region.

At first, he and his sister hoped to find the injured mother in the hospital and wrote about it on Facebook.

However, today Cherednichenko received a message that both his parents had been killed.

"Friends, I am very grateful to everyone for your help in search and your support… But, unfortunately, today the volunteers who were near our house confirmed that russian scoundrels ruthlessly killed my parents… So, I will delete the previous post about the search ... Please pray for the souls of innocently killed Nadia and Volodymyr ", - he wrote.

Today, Irpin City Mayor, Oleksandr Markushyn, declared the city's liberation from the russian occupiers. At the same time, the cleaning operation [cheking buildings room by room] will go on there, so it is too soon for the citizens to return home due to the firing.

The russian military has been attacking the city since the first days of the war. On 27 February 2022, Markushin said another attack had been repulsed, but the enemy began shelling the city from the air. As of last week, the Armed Forces of Ukraine controlled 80% of Irpin. On 26 March 2022, the Mayor said that heavy battles had been going on in the city for several days.
