The russians were not only stopped on the outskirts of Kryvyi Rih but also pushed back at a distance of 40-60 kilometers from the city.
The Head of the Kryvyi Rih Military Administration, Oleksandr Vilkul, provided this information.
"The contact line is no longer on the border with the Dnipropetrovsk region. It is in the Kherson region. Our militaries show real courage and cause the enemy serious damage," said Oleksandr Vilkul, adding that several municipalities in the Kherson region were liberated due to the actions of Ukrainian defenders.
He also clarified that Ukrainian defenders seized enemy equipment during the attack; this equipment will be used to defend the city.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the occupiers are weakened and disoriented. A significant part of them has been cut off from logistics and the main military forces.
