Germany is ready to provide Ukraine with security guarantees, the German Minister of Foreign Affairs Annalena Baerbock said in a declaration reported by Die Zeit

"If guarantees are needed, Germany will be there too (among the guarantor nations - LB.ua) and will provide guarantees," said the Minister.

She added that security guarantees would only be possible after the end of combat action.

During Istanbul peace talks, Ukraine proposed that the UN Security Council members (Great Britain, China, Russia, USA, France, Turkey, Germany, Canada, Italy, Poland, and Israel) offer our country security guarantees similar to the NATO collective defense principles. Within the first three days of an attack on Ukraine, the guarantor countries will have to provide military assistance, weapons, and a no-fly zone.

The US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, confirmed that the United States is ready to be a part of the security guarantees for Ukraine. He stated that he didn't see any positive movements in the negotiations but considered it a good sign if Kyiv saw them. Great Britain is ready to become one of the guarantors in case of the signature of the international agreement, said the permanent representative of Great Britain in the UN, Barbara Woodward.
