Each month of war costs Ukraine $10 billion

The President held a meeting with the Cabinet of Ministers and the economic unit of the President's Office.

According to the Ministry of Finance, Ukraine loses are about $10 billion each month when hostilities continue. The presidential press service reported that the Ministry announced this number during a meeting held by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy with the economic unit of the Office of the President of Ukraine and the Cabinet of Ministers.

"The meeting discussed sources of financing expenditures, including tax revenues and assistance from Ukraine's international partners. In the same context, the meeting considered the prospects for the transition to a simplified taxation system scheduled for April," mentioned in the statement.

The participants of the meeting also discussed the crop sowing campaign, in particular the provision of fuel to farmers. They also discussed ways to diversify fuel imports and protect Ukraine's energy infrastructure from russian military bombing.

As reported earlier, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal estimated losses of Ukraine because of the war with russia exceed 1 trillion dollars, taking into account future losses.
