The Ukrainian military, who liberated the city of Bucha in the Kyiv region, recorded a large number of war crimes committed by russian ocuppiers against the civilians. Many bodies of civilians were seen lying on the streets of Bucha, - lawyer Illya Novikov wrote on his Facebook page.

"We have just received exclusive and direct proof of the crimes against humanity committed by russian occupiers in Bucha. By the order of Petro Poroshenko, a working group of lawyers was formed right away to document all the facts of these inhumane crimes for the international courts. It is a matter of honor to our team - to seek a fair trial on the putin’s regime and every survived participnt of the russian aggression against Ukraine,” - Novikov wrote.

The video released by Novikov shows a large number of bodies of killed civilians on one of the streets of Bucha. The corpses lie right on the road. Most of those killed were men. Many of those killed had their hands tied.

On 1 April the Mayor of Bucha Anatoly Fedoruk reported in a video message that the city was liberated from the russian invaders. On the same day, the Bucha City Council reported that the aggressor had mined a confectionery factory and poisoned cookies and urged residents not to enter the site.
