As of the morning of 4 March, russian armed forces continue the armed aggression against Ukraine. According to The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, russian military-political command has begun hidden measures of mobilization of reservists for the purposes of bringing military units to wartime states.
“While candidates selection, the preference is given to persons who already have combat experience. Privates, sergeants and officers are subject to mobilization. In addition, they specialized the regions of mobilization: Krasnodar Krai, Perm district, Republics of Dagestan, Ingushetia, Kalmykia,” – The General Staff informs.
Material incentives remains as a main motivation for the reservists. In addition, the opinion that the participants of the war in Ukraine can improve their financial situation through so-called “trophies”, i.e. robbery and looting, is well spread among russians.
According to the General Staff, russian armed forces command expects to involve about 60 thousand people during the mobilization.
“Staffing with weapons and military equipment to the states of wartime would take place due to the removal from storage of obsolete equipment. Some samples have been in storages and bases over 30 years.”
However, The General Staff notices, over the past 24 hours Ukrainian defenders repulsed seven enemy attacks. Two units of armored vehicles, forty-three vehicles and an enemy mortar have been destroyed on the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
Over the past 24 hours SAM unit of Air Force of the UAF hit 6 air targets: three planes (Su-34, Su-35, transmitter plane IL-22), one helicopter, two cruise missile. As for the air control point on the base of IL-22, it became known that the plane was damaged, the cockpit was depressurized, the pilots made an emergency landing at the airfield of Rostov.
Air Force’s aviation were continuing to launch missile and bomb strikes on enemy troops, military equipment columns, logistics centers. Air Force of the UAF’s fighter aircrafts are preventing the enemy’s air actions on the designated areas, covering strike groups, bombers and assault aircraft.
