Following the publication of evidence of war crimes committed by Russian troops in Bucha, Germany proposed to set up a tribunal to punish the perpetrators, similar to the one that existed in Yugoslavia. The initiative was proposed by the Vice President of the European Parliament, Nicola Beer, who is also the Vice President of the Free Democratic Party of Germany (FDP), which is part of the current government coalition. She made the respective statement on Bild TV, as reported by DW.
“For all of us, the horror of these acts is incomprehensible. These are the gravest crimes against humanity, these are war crimes,” Beer said.
