On Sunday evening, April 3, the enemy tried to destroy one of the objects of critical infrastructure in Ternopil. There was an explosion in the city.
On the morning of April 4, the mayor Serhiy Nadal said that the authorities were waiting for official information about the missile attack.
"We are waiting for the official information about the missile attacks in Ternopil region from the “West” operational command. Please go to the shelter when the air raid sounds," he wrote in social networks.
At the moment, the “West” operational command did not comment the attacks in Ternopil and the region.
Later,Volodymyr Trush, the Head of the Ternopil Region Military Administration, informed at the briefing that the enemy attacked the object of critical infrastructure. The air defense forces neutralized the missile, but due to shrapnel, the facility is now unusable. Mr. Trush did not specify which object was damaged.
As a result of the shelling, no one was injured due to preventive measures. Employees of the State Emergency Service and the National Police are working on the spot. According to the mayor, all services and infrastructure of Ternopil operate in a regular mode.
Please be reminded that the air raid on April 3 in Ternopil sounded at 22:00. At 22:28, the mayor Serhiy Nadal said that "an explosion was heard in the city."
Two hours before the attack, information about the "destruction of objects" in Ternopil appeared in Russian publics. Therefore, the local authorities once again asked the people of Ternopil not to disclose any information about the actions of the enemy and to go to the shelter when the air raid sounds.
