Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has invited russian president vladimir putin to peace talks in Hungary with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz (all leaders of the Quartet).Orban said this at a press conference on 6 April, as AFP reports.According to Orban, putin expressed readiness for such format, but stated certain "conditions", adds The Guardian.

Orban also said that Hungary would "have no problem" paying russia for gas in rubles, as it demanded.To remind, that the G7 countries refused to pay for gas in rubles. After a full-scale invasion and especially after the publication of evidence of russian atrocities in Ukrainian cities, European countries decided to abandon russian energy resources. Hungary is not going to do that at the moment.
