Russian military withdrawn from Ukraine live in tents and refuse to go back - General Staff

A part of the withdrawn russian military units stays in tent camps in several regions of the russian federation bordering Ukraine. The soldiers refuse to take part in further warfare on the territory of Ukraine. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in the operational report on the russian invasion as of 6 am 7 April 2022.

These troops’ psychological and moral condition is low and tends to deteriorate. The Command of the Armed Forces of the russian federation continues to search for opportunities to reinforce its units with human resources.

Russia's military commissariats activated their work with reservists who have been discharged from military service since 2012 and have military specialties of a driver, mechanic-driver, intelligence officer, and junior commanders. The official reason for the call to the military registration offices is to conduct training with the specified military specialties for a period of 3 months.

Also, on the territory of the so-called Transnistrian-Moldavian Republic, appropriate propaganda work is being carried out with the population who has russian citizenship.

The russian occupiers focus their main efforts on preparations for the attacking operation in eastern Ukraine, which aims to establish full control over the territory of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

The enemy continues its active actions in the Slobozhanskyy, Donetskyy, Pivdennobuzhskyy, and Tavriya directions.

In the Slobozhanskyy direction, the enemy continues to block the city of Kharkiv and carry out artillery shelling.

In the Donetskyy and Tavriya directions, the russians continue artillery shelling of the city of Popasna. The goal is to fire on the Ukrainian Armed Forces units and to resume the attacks on Rubizhne, Nyzhne, and Novobakhmutivka. The russian occupiers also tried unsuccessfully to break through the defense of our troops in the area of the settlement of Novotoshkivske.

In the Pivdennobuzhskyy direction, the enemy is defending the previously occupied borders, taking measures to restore the combat capability of its units. The russian occupiers continue to carry out strict filtration measures in the temporarily occupied territories of the Kherson region.

The occupiers continue to use violence against civilians in the temporarily occupied territories. Russians forcibly deport the population of Mariupol to the temporarily occupied districts of the Donetsk region.

Ukrainian Air Force units have hit three air targets during the previous day: a cruise missile, an unmanned aircraft vehicle, and a fighter aircraft. The Air Force of Ukraine continued to launch missile and bomb strikes on the occupying troops.

Earlier, a part of the russian helicopters based on the territory of the Republic of Belarus moved to the Seshcha airbase in the Bryansk region of russia. This became known from satellite images as of 6 April.
