President of France Emmanuel Macron announced the country is ready to become the guarantor of security of Ukraine after the end of the war with the russian federation, Suspilne [Public Broadcasting Company of Ukraine] reports, citing his words in the interview with Le Parisien.
According to his words, “at some point” ceasefire will be declared in Ukraine and we will have to build peace.
“It is impossible to do without a guarantor, and France is invited to be one of these guarantors”, - said Macron.
He also stated he is ready to call the russian president volodymyr putin, however fruitful these conversations are, so that Paris retains“the status of negotiator”.
The French leader also stated he pays great attention to the situation in Mariupol. According to him, russia “stated their refusal quite clearly” in response to the proposition of a humanitarian operation together with Greece and Turkey. That is why Paris is trying to arrange a humanitarian corridor with the help of the International Red Cross Committee.
Recently the President of France Emmanuel Macron stated that he wants to block russian coal and oil export to the European Union completely after discovering, in his words, military crimes in the town of Bucha.
Speaking on the French television channel France Inter, Macron said, there are “very evident signs” that military crimes were committed in Bucha, and “the russian army is found responsible for them”,
As previously reported, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy invited Merkel and Sarkozy to visit Bucha and witness the consequences of 14 years of concessions to russia.
