The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food predicts that 70-80% of the land will be available for sowing this year, depending on how the situation develops.

The First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy Taras Vysotskyy reported that, according to RBC-Ukraine.

"According to the pessimistic forecast, it will be possible to sow 70% [of the land – tr.]. In case of the successful demining of territories in the Chernihiv and Sumy regions which have vast agricultural fields, the overall area may amount to 80%," he stated.

According to Taras Vysotskyy, 30-40% of the crops sown will be grown for domestic consumption. Ukraine will be able to use the rest for food export.

As of 31 March, agrarians had started the spring sowing in 20 regions of Ukraine.

As of 8 April, all the fields of the Kirovohrad region for the early grain were already planted, while the agrarians of the Dnipropetrovsk region planted 40% of the fields.
