The United States of America and Ukraine carry out intensive consultations on the new package of military aid that will account for the peculiarities of warfare on the East and South of Ukraine where the terrain differs from the previous main front of the war.CNN reports about it referring to the representatives of the U.S. Defense Ministry.Particularly, the aid package includes a great number of drones and “Javelin” portable anti-tank missiles systems. “This is partially connected with the fact that Ukraine has already had such types of weapons in its arsenal and is able to promptly use it,” a CNN conversationalist said. The U.S. also conduct negotiations with the allies in Europe to learn what additional air-defense long-range systems, tanks, armored vehicles, and artillery they can provide to Ukraine from their own stockpiles. It is necessary to do that promptly, CNN points out, as the Ukrainian Army has greater need in heavy weapons, such as armored vehicles and artillery, in the Southern and Eastern directions.According to Pentagon officials, Ukraine still wants to get combat aircraft, but the United States stay against this. The U.S Defense Ministry states that the aid to Ukraine now arrives in large volumes. “From 8 to 10 flights (of transport aircraft, – LB.ua) arrive daily to the region not only from the United States but also from other countries,” Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said. - In some cases, the things that arrive from the United States come to Ukrainians within four-six days from the moment when the President (the U.S., – LB.ua) allows the transfer.”Note that according to Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba, the battle for Donbass will resemble World War II with its big maneuvers and thousands of tanks, planes, and armored vehicles. On 11 April 2022, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Annalena Baerbock announced the increase of the EU’s weapon supply to Ukraine to resist russian aggression.
