On April 9 the return of the EU Delegation to the Ukrainian capital was announced. Following russia’s invasion on 24 February, the bloc had relocated its envoys to the Polish city of Rzeszow.
On April 8, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called for more diplomatic missions and embassies to return to Kyiv. According to him, the presence of foreign diplomatic missions in Kyiv is a clear signal to russia that “this is the capital — this is not a provincial town from russia, but this is our city”.
