The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, addressed the foreign diplomats asking them to return to embassies in Kyiv.
He stated this in his address on Thursday evening.
"I would like to mention that diplomatic representatives of other states are returning to the capital together with the citizens. The representatives of the embassy of Turkey returned yesterday. The Lithuanian ambassador returned today. Earlier, the embassy of Slovenia in Kyiv resumed its work, - said the President of Ukraine. - I am sincerely grateful to the friends of Ukraine who support us precisely the way it is needed now, but also at the level of symbols and the diplomatic level. It's also about courage. "
Volodymyr Zelenskyy also added that he is waiting for the opportunity to meet the diplomats. "All those who are brave. Come back. With all the diplomats who have returned to our capital and continue to work - he said. - the presence of foreign diplomatic missions in Kyiv means that the embassies are working - this is a clear message to the aggressor that Kyiv is our capital. Not the provincial town of russia, but the capital of Ukraine."
