The mayor of Chernihiv noted that about 150 high-rise apartment buildings were severely damaged. Communications were also damaged, in particular, ground ones were destroyed by almost 70-100%.
"There are no people to count all this, a very large amount of work. The losses are huge - tens of billions of hryvnyas. We need about 200-300m euros to rebuild only the CHP," Vladyslav Atroshenko said.
According to the head of Chernihiv, before starting restoration work, experts should study the condition of damaged buildings and underground communications.
Kyrylo Tymoshenko, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, said that the suburbs of Chernihiv had suffered the most. The country's authorities have promised to rebuild everything as soon as possible.
On 4 April, the movement of humanitarian goods from Kyiv to Chernihiv was resumed.
