The battle for Donbas will resemble World War II with extensive maneuvers and thousands of aircraft and armored vehicles.

Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba stated this in Brussels, calling on NATO to provide help as quickly as possible, reports Reuters.

“I'm sorry to say this, but it's true: the battle for Donbas will remind you of World War II, with extensive operations, maneuvers, the participation of thousands of tanks, armored vehicles, aircraft and artillery. It will not be a local operation based on what we see in russia's preparations for this. Russia has a plan, we have ours, and the result of this battle will be decided on the battlefield,” - Kuleba said.

“Either you help us now - and I'm talking about days, not weeks - or your help will come too late, and many people will die,” - added the head of MFA.

The other day the Secretary General of NATO said that "the war has entered a critical phase. Russia is preparing a new attack”. Stoltenberg confirmed NATO's promises to continue supporting Ukraine. According to Stoltenberg, the Alliance will provide Ukraine with equipment to effectively deter the offensive of russian forces.

According to the head of the Alliance, russian troops will further attempt to advance into eastern and southern Ukraine in order to occupy all of Donbas and create a land corridor to the occupied Crimea. "So, the war has entered a critical phase," - Stoltenberg stated.
