The United States of America has secretly transferred long-range ATACMS missiles to Ukraine.
This information was confirmed by Pentagon spokesman Garron Garn, RBC-Ukraine reports.
The ATACMS arrived in Ukraine earlier this month in accordance with US President Joe Biden's instructions for the March aid package.
The number of missiles provided is unknown.
Reuters reported that Ukraine used the ATACMS on the morning of 17 April, attacking an airfield in Crimea, 165 km from the Ukrainian front line.
The US decision to provide Kyiv with such missiles was influenced by Russia's use of long-range ballistic missiles from the DPRK, as well as massive Russian shelling of Ukrainian critical infrastructure.
According to the agency, the US military has begun purchasing missiles from Lockheed Martin. Funds for the missiles were raised in March this year.
