An infrastructure facility was damaged in a Russian attack in the Cherkasy Region. At least six people were injured.

The Russian army attacked the Region in the morning. Complex air defence means were deployed against the high-speed air target, said Ihor Taburets, head of the Cherkasy regional military administration.

"There were no casualties. At the moment, six people have sought medical assistance," he said.

The damaged facility is located in Cherkasy district. 

Update. Air Force spokesman Ilya Yevlash said that the Russian military probably used an Iskander-K for the attack. The missile hit the city of Smila, Liga quotes him as saying.

"Civilian infrastructure was hit there, and the logistics railway connection was damaged. In addition, the strike damaged administrative buildings, cars and civilian property," he elaborated.

The State Emergency Service reported that 47 private houses were damaged in the explosion.

"In the morning, the enemy attacked the city of Smila with a missile. According to preliminary information, 47 private houses on several streets were damaged by the blast wave and debris. Windows in neighbouring high-rise buildings were also smashed," the statement said.
