Employees of the State Bureau of Investigation are investigating the circumstances of the explosions in Mykolayiv that killed two soldiers and injured five rescuers.
This was reported by the press service of the State Bureau of Investigation.
On 24 April, a detonation occurred in a car park when servicemen were carelessly transferring ammunition from one vehicle to another in Mykolayiv. The explosion killed two soldiers and injured two others.
Cars near the epicentre of the explosion also caught fire. Another explosion occurred during the firefighting operations, injuring five rescuers who responded to the call.
The SBI opened criminal proceedings over violations of the rules for handling weapons (Part 3 of Article 414 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
