German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock announced that the European Union will increase arms supply to Ukraine to counter russian aggression.This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the BBC."The European Union is a friend of Ukraine, so we are stepping up arms supplies in the near future," Baerbock said following the results of EU foreign ministers' summit.According to her, diplomats are currently predicting an escalation of hostilities. In particular, the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, talked about the deteriorating situation in eastern Ukraine.He stressed that the main task of the EU today is to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities. Instead, other issues, including new sanctions against russia, are relegated to the background.On April 10, in an interview with Corriere Dellf Sera Borrel reported that he received from Ukraine authorities the list of the necessary weapons for counteraction to military invasion of the russian federation. He also said he is convening an EU Military Committee to discuss supplies.Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, following a meeting with representatives of the G7, NATO and partners, said that "Ukraine will have what to fight with." He said that "there are only three topics on the agenda with the allies: weapons, weapons, and weapons."In addition, Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov called on NATO countries to provide Ukraine with air defense systems, combat aircraft, light artillery rocket system, heavy artillery, tanks and armored vehicles.
