The commander of the 36th Separate Marine Brigade, Major Serhiy Volyna, calls on the authorities to break the siege of Mariupol as soon as possible, either militarily or politically.
Ukrainska Pravda reported this.
According to Volyna, as of the morning of 15 April, the defenders of Mariupol are fighting fierce battles. The enemy is aggressively advancing. The situation is crucial.
Volyna says that Mariupol can be saved by an urgent military operation or a political decision.
The Marine commander is convinced that the break of the siege of Mariupol is still possible today.
According to him, "this is possible and should be carried out as soon as possible, to engage experienced commanders and the necessary funds."
The night before, the deputy commander of the Azov Regiment, Captain Sviatoslav Palamar (Kalyna), spoke about more than 2,000 killed occupiers and enemy equipment in Mariupol. According to him, "the Ukrainian military is fighting under constant enemy fire from tanks, artillery, airstrikes and other means of fire destruction. And all this is done in full encirclement and without proper support."
The captain noted that the defenders of Mariupol "are sorry to hear the assumption that the break of the siege is impossible and that we have received reinforcements at a time when there are less and less of us."
