Premier says Spain sending 200 tonnes of ammunition to Ukraine

The Prime Minister of Spain, Pedro Sanchez, said that his country provides our country with military assistance - the ship Isabel has already left the Spanish port, carrying 200 tonnes of ammunition and armored vehicles.Sanchez said this at a briefing after he visited Kyiv.

"The ship carries 30 trucks, and ten of them are loaded with military equipment," - the prime minister added.

The Head of the Spanish government emphasized that this was the largest cargo his country had ever shipped to Ukraine. Pedro Sanchez also said that Spain had previously provided Ukraine with 170 tons of military equipment and weapons.

The Prime Minister noted that Spain continues to provide humanitarian aid to Ukraine, receive refugees, and support all sanctions against russian federation. Sanchez also said that Spain had transferred 120m euros to the European Peace Facility.

At the beginning of March, Spain announced the transfer of offensive weapons to Ukraine.

That same month, Spanish authorities arrested a $ 140m russian oligarch's yacht moored in the port of Barcelona.
