A large-scale fire broke out on Thursday, 21 April 2022, on the territory of the Dmytrievsky Chemical Plant in the city of Kineshma, Ivanovo region, RF. As russian media inform, the fire damaged the shop floor based on 1.5 thousand square meters.
Dmytrievsky Chemical Plant (DCP) is considered one of the largest producers of butyl ethanoate and industrial solvents in Russia.
At approximately 8.30 am, the finished goods warehouse at "DCP - Prouzvodstvo" LLC caught fire. It is unknown what exactly was stored in the burning hangar because the company's manufacturing range is wide: from butyl ethanoate to food acid, isobutyl acetate, and industrial solvents - writes the local newspaper "Kineshmets".
All fire brigades of the Kineshma garrison were involved in fire elimination; the company's equipment also was used. They managed to extinguish the fire in more than two hours.

According to TASS, with reference to the responsible representative of the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, 143 people were evacuated from the building. A metal hangar collapsed during the fire.
The administration of the Ivanovo region reported one casualty.
Meanwhile, the press service of the regional prosecutor's office reported that two people were injured as a result of the accident; they were taken to a medical institution with burns.
A representative of the Kineshma city hospital said that the condition of one of the victims is severe; she stays in the intensive care unit.
Meanwhile, IvanovoNews writes that the cause of the fire was carelessness while pouring acetone into plastic containers.
One of the employees of the chemical plant, born in 1980, was preparing and pouring chemicals into the containers. She was negligent while working and violated safety rules, resulting in a fire.
"According to the chemical plant employee, an electrostatic discharge occurred during the process of pouring acetone into a plastic container; as a result of this, a fire broke out in the building," reports the newspaper.
Today in Tver (Russia), the Research Institute of Air and Space Defense burned down. According to the latest data, seven people died, and about 30 were injured.
