On 23 April, the Ukrainian defenders from the group of the Joint Forces repelled 12 attacks of the enemy and caused new losses to the occupiers.
In particular, they destroyed four russian tanks, five artillery systems, 15 armored vehicles, one armored combat vehicle, and four pieces of automotive equipment. It was reported on the page of the general staff of the Joint Forces on Facebook.
“In the sky of Ukrainian Donbas, the air defense units downed one aircraft (Su-25), one missile, and 3 unmanned aerial vehicles of Orlan-10 type. The Ukrainian military continues bravely and heroically hold back troops of the aggressor!” was stressed in the staff office.
The General Staff informed today that the russian army is trying to increase the pace of the operation in eastern Ukraine to encircle the group of the United Forces and to take full control of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Near the settlement of Maryinka and in other directions, the enemy has no success in the combat actions.
