Russian troops continue to destroy railway infrastructure systematically. This morning, five railway stations in Central and Western Ukraine came under fire for an hour, the director of the Ukrainian Railways, Oleksandr Kamyshin, reported.
He mentioned that at least 16 passenger trains would be delayed.
“There are casualties; we are clarifying the details. I will keep you informed,” Kamyshin wrote on his Telegram.
The press center of the Ukrainian Railways clarified that due to the damage to traction substations, there is no voltage in the catenary on the sections Shepetivka - Koziatyn, Zhmerynka - Koziatyn, Koziatyn - Fastiv.
"Trains traveling through these sections have been delayed; the delay time and the list of trains will be announced separately," the statement said.
Earlier, on April 21, Russia launched three missile strikes on the train infrastructure of the Dnipropetrovsk region. Five people were injured. The railway line and the catenary were completely destroyed.
