During the war in Ukraine, more than 10,000 children from vulnerable categories were evacuated, and almost 6,900 children were taken abroad. The press service of the Ministry of Social Policy reported this information.
The ministry explained that these are orphans, children deprived of parental care, children without such status, who live in different integral care institutions, adopted children, children from family-style orphanages or foster families, and children who have a guardian or a caretaker.
Out of all the children taken abroad, we know that 3,647 are children from integral care institutions, and other 3,238 children are brought up in families.
"All children were relocated together with a legal representative. Legal representatives have to register children at the consulate of Ukraine in the foreign country," - says the Ministry of Social Policy.
