The explosions in the separatist Moldovan region of Transnistria are a provocation by Russian special services. According to the Chief Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, they took place at about 5:45 pm in the offices of the so-called Ministry of State Security and a branch of the Federal Security Service (FSB) of the russian federation.
As a result of the incident, the windows in the building were broken. Used grenades, probably RPG-22 and RPG-27 were found on the street nearby.
The Directorate of Intelligence stressed that this event did not come as a surprise to the Transnistrian leadership.
On 22 April, Vadym Shmalenko, Secretary of the State Commission for Emergency Situations of “Transnistrian Moldovan Republic”, addressed a letter to Volodymyr Bychkov, Head of the Kamensky District. The letter had an urgent request (by 4:00 pm of the same day) about the availability and location of a "protected point of civil defense of the city," says the Directorate of Intelligence.
The information should have included the name of the object, address, and type of protective structure. In the absence of such a point, it was necessary to create it immediately.
"Thus, three days before the incident, the leaders of the “Transnistrian Moldovan Republic” were already preparing for it and took care of the installation of a secure and comfortable bunker," - said the Directorate of Intelligence.
The Directorate believes that this case was just one of the provocations that the russian FSB had planned to fuel panic and anti-Ukrainian sentiment. According to the authors (of the incident - tr.), it should justify the war on the territory of Ukraine or involve Transnistria in war - as a territory with a certain mobilization reserve or as a territory from which russian troops can carry out attacks on Ukraine.
On 22 April, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Central Military District of the russian federation, Major General Rustam Minnekayev, announced plans for Transnistria. He said that the russian army has the task of "establishing full control over Donbas and southern Ukraine." After that, the occupiers must break through the corridor to the unrecognized "Transnistrian region", where "there are facts of oppression of the russian-speaking population."
According to intelligence data, the FSB will continue a series of provoking terrorist attacks in Transnistria.
Tonight the separatist region of Moldova Transnistria announced the shelling of the building of its "Ministry of State Security". It is stated that no one was injured.
In April the General Staff of the Ukraine Armed Forces warned that Transnistrian security forces could carry out sabotage in Ukraine. However, there are no signs of Transnistrian armed forces preparing for battles against Ukraine.
