Germany is ready to halt the supply of Russian oil. Robert Gabeck, Minister of Economy of the Federal Republic of Germany, declared, writes European Pravda, referring to Süddeutsche Zeitung."Today I can say that the embargo has become acceptable for Germany," the politician said after a meeting with his Polish colleague Anna Moskva in Warsaw. It should be noted that the share of Russian oil in the German market is only about 12%. And that share is mainly attributable to supplies to the PCK refinery in Schwedt an der Oder."We are looking for an alternative here. This alternative is the task for the next few days," said Gabek. He admits that the problem will be solved in a few days. Before the meeting in Warsaw, it was said that the Polish port of Gdańsk could play an important role in ensuring the supply to Swedt. Schwedt is connected to a pipeline from Russia and is controlled by the Russian company Rosneft.Gabek has always argued that independence from Russian oil could not be achieved by the end of the year and that the immediate embargo would cause serious damage to the German economy.Earlier German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock said that Germany will stop importing oil from Russia by the end of this year.
