The Russians have been shelling Lysychansk for the past 24 hours. On Wednesday, 13 houses were destroyed there, - the head of Luhansk Regional Military Administration Serhiy Haidai shared in Telegram.

“Lysychansk is a large settlement. And therefore it’s easier for the russians to hit somewhere, and harder for our rescuers to react quickly. Ignition due to shelling occurs almost throughout the entire territory, which is almost 100 square kilometers. Last night they hit two houses - we put out the fire. The situation was much more complicated during the day, when the flames engulfed eight houses at once. And in the evening the russians hit three more," he wrote.

Three more houses caught fire from the russian shelling in Novodruzhesk, a shop in Severodonetsk, a carpentry shop and a transformer in Hirs'ke, the latter was damaged beyond repair. The facility is completely destroyed - people will stay without electricity and mobile connection.

"In total, during one day we eliminated 21 fires caused by shelling by the occupier troops from the russian federation," - Haidai added.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as of the morning of April 28, the enemy is continuing offensive operations in the Eastern Operational Zone to establish full control over Donetsk and Luhansk Oblasts and maintain a land corridor with the temporarily occupied Crimea. The greatest activity is observed in Slobozhansky and Donetsk directions.
