The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has released data about the command staff of the 291st Guards Motorized Rifle Regiment of the russian federation, which committed crimes near Mariupol and Zaporizhzhia.
The full list of names of war criminals, which includes 226 servicemen, has been published on the agency's website.
"The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has obtained a list of the 291st Guards Motorized Rifle Regiment, which is involved in committing crimes against the people of Ukraine in the Zaporizhzhia and Mariupol areas," the statement reads.
The intelligence service emphasizes that all criminals will be brought to justice and prosecuted for crimes against the civilian people of Ukraine.
The Regiment of the 291st Guards Motorized Rifle Orders of Alexander Nevsky and Suvorov is a tactical formation of the Land Forces of the russian federation. Its conditional name is Military Unit No.65384 (unit 65384). The formation has been part of the 42nd Guards Motorized Rifle Division of the North Caucasus since 2010 within the Southern Military District. The station of its permanent deployment is the village of Borzoi (Chechen Republic).
