The “Book of Torturers”, the creation of which was previously announced by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, will contain information about the russian military who committed crimes on the territory of our state or gave criminal orders. Andriy Smyrnov, Deputy Head of the Office of the President, said this in an interview with Lb.ua.

According to him, currently, pre-trial investigation authorities together with the intelligence agencies are compiling information about specific soldiers and military commanders involved in committing crimes.

“These are full details of the specific person and the background to the crime he is involved in. I would like to note that when it comes to military commanders, it is not necessary that they were present at a particular time in the combat zone on the territory of our state; it is enough that they gave criminal orders,” Andriy Smyrnov stated.

Deputy Head of the Office of the President noted that the electronic template of that “book” will be presented within a month.

“Now this information is being organized - its volume is enormous, but within a month there will be a specific electronic template of this “Book of Torturers”, which will collect a huge amount of information about specific people who committed crimes on the territory of our country, atrocities, murders, or gave criminal orders,” Smyrnov said.

In early April, the Chief Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine published a list of russian servicemen who had committed war crimes against the people of Ukraine in the city of Bucha in the Kyiv region.
