Germany will provide full support to Ukraine in the investigation of war crimes committed by the russian military.
This was stated during a visit to Bucha by German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock, Deutsche Welle reports.
On her Twitter, Baerbock stressed that support in the investigation of russian crimes will be comprehensive.
“We will gather evidence as an international community. I assured the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Iryna Venediktova in Germany's full support for the detection of war crimes: politically, financially and personnel-wise”, said the German Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Baerbock added, that Germany would make every effort to ensure justice in the investigation of russia's crimes.
“... It could have happened to anyone. It could have been my family, my neighbors. The arbitrariness is tremendous. We can't take the pain away from the survivors, but we can do everything we can to ensure justice: no one has to think that he can commit crimes without consequences”, said the German Foreign Minister.
We are reminding, that Annalena Baerbok arrived to Ukraine on May 10. She visits Bucha, a city in the Kyiv region destroyed by the russian occupiers.
