As of now, 1003 towns and villages are liberated in Ukraine. There are humanitarian task forces, regional military administrations, and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine working there, the deputy head of the President’s Office, Kyrylo Tymoshenko, reported during a briefing.

224 towns and villages were demined. Police resumed operation in almost 600 towns and villages.

“Local authorities are functioning in 70%, road transport has been restored by 70%, and railway transport by 42%,” Tymoshenko said.

Gas supply has been restored in 650 towns and villages, electricity in 83% of liberated territories, and water supply in 60%. Gas stations resumed work in 49% of settlements, and mobile networks in 720 towns and villages. The Ukrainian state post resumed operations in 800 settlements.

Earlier, on May 7, railway transport was restored from Irpin to Kyiv - the first electric train arrived at the train station of the capital’s suburbs. Irpin is also one of the towns where the sappers looked over 100% of the surfaces. However, people should not touch suspicious objects.

In April, Ukrainian defenders liberated several settlements in the Kharkiv region from the occupiers. Among them was Ruska Lozova, from which the enemy was shelling Kharkiv.
