Russia is carrying out combat activities in Ukraine according to two tactics and applies well-thought-out decisions, which were not used at the beginning of the invasion. The Deputy Minister of Defense, Hanna Maliar said this in an interview with LB.ua.

“You remember that we had a certain period, it was even called a lull when supposedly the intensity of fighting subsided a little bit. They were taking a pause because they needed to recover personnel because of the huge losses at the beginning, they needed to restore equipment, and regroup. But at the same time they used this time to change their strategies and adjust to us,” Maliar said.

According to her, the enemy analyzed how we got an unexpected advantage and began to look for weaknesses.

“Now we are seeing two different tactics. The first is like in Mariupol, they just bomb everything. We cannot talk about any tactics there. And there are some regions where they are trying to play chess with us, where they are also trying to predict what we will do next, what the next move will be. You can see that they have these well-thought-out decisions, which they didn't have initially,” the Deputy Minister stated.

According to the General Staff, the enemy does not cease offensive actions in the Eastern operational zone to establish full control over the territory of the Donetsk, Luhansk and Kherson regions and maintain a land corridor between these territories and occupied Crimea.
