The russian occupiers call Chornobayivka a "purgatory" for its soldiers and a cemetery for military equipment.
This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine on the basis of intercepted conversations of the invaders.
"Our support here on the base is called 'the purgatory'. It is under constant fire. People are afraid to come to us," a russian soldier admits to his mother; the unit is based in Chornobayivka.
The occupier convinces his mother that he is on a "special operation" in Ukraine. However, unlike most russians, she is well aware of the atrocities of her fellow citizens on Ukrainian soil.
"Yeah, you have a special operation, and how many children and adults died! How many people died, how many soldiers died… and now a special operation. Bullsh*t! You bombed everything there," - said the russian woman.
In a conversation with his father, the occupier describes the situation in more detail. He says that as a result of the heroic resistance of Ukrainian soldiers, the occupying forces lost most of their military equipment.
"We just have nothing to fight with… We have nothing, no equipment, nothing heavy at all. Everything was bombed," said the invader.
He also hints at the stupidity of his commanders: "We came to our base in Kherson, it’s a total mess: a helicopter cemetery".
"He probably does not want to believe that soon the whole of Ukraine will become a continuous Chornobayivka for the occupiers. Our entire state is working on this every day!" – the SSU says.
On May 2 the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed an ammunition depot in Chornobayivka. And on April 25, they covered the occupiers with fire for the 17th time.
