Pavlo Volat, a company commander of the belarusian Kastuś Kalinoŭski Battalion, was killed in the war in Ukraine.

This was reported on the battalion's Telegram.

“Today our battalion suffered huge losses. During the operation to liberate a Ukrainian village from the russian occupation, the company commander, a member of our battalion Pavlo Volat was mortally wounded. We tried to take him to the hospital in a critical condition, but we did not have enough time,” the message says.

On March 9, 2022, the belarusian Kastuś Kalinoŭski Battalion was founded. It included members of the tactical group “Belarus”, representatives of the belarusian youth movement “Young Front”, members of the organization “White Legion” and other volunteers.

In March, the belarusian volunteers joined the fight against the russian troops in the conflict zones near Kyiv such as Irpin and Bucha.
