In mid-March, russian troops occupied the northern parts of the Kherson region. They left at the beginning of April, but residents still cannot recover from the occupation.

"They used to come up and say, 'Give us the gold,'" reports Karina Skubak, a press officer for OP South.

The little local store was looted. The milk that the people milked from the cows was drunk entirely by the soldiers.

It gets worse: according to a resident of Svobodne village the orcs didn't let anyone out of the village - they said: “you can report our location”. Before the occupation, about 60 people lived in the village, now there are only 20.

They demanded dollars, gold and diamonds from the residents.

In another village, men were put on their knees, undressed, and checked for tattoos. They took away a local man's car, and an hour later they said that they had crashed it.

A pregnant woman was raped. And then an 83-year-old granny. Trenches covered the entire village, and they say that soldiers dug them with their bare hands.

According to the locals, “LDNR” units were here. They came in mid-March and left about two weeks later. "Suddenly they came and just as suddenly they left," says a resident of Svobodne.
