US State Department spokesperson Andrea Kalan considers russia does not need negotiations with Ukraine about a peace settlement.
She stated this during the TV marathon #UArazom .
«To negotiate with russia, the United States must see that it wants to de-escalate the situation and withdraw its troops from Ukraine, but now russia is showing only aggression», Kalan stressed.
She added that the United States is doing everything possible to ensure that Ukraine can defend itself, and ordinary russians will find out the whole truth.
Today, the Adviser to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Mykhailo Podoliak, said that until russia is ready to liberate occupied Ukrainian territories, Ukraine's negotiating platform is weapons, sanctions and money.
On May 17, Podoliak confirmed the information from the russian side that the process of negotiations between Ukraine and russia has been suspended.
