The new US aid package for Ukraine includes 18 items of 155-mm howitzers, 18 vehicles for driving these howitzers, three anti-artillery AN/TPQ-36 radars, as well as additional field equipment and spare parts.

This was announced by John Kirby, Speaker of the US Department of Defense, at briefing.

"This equipment will be delivered very, very soon. I can't give you an exact date when it will be delivered to Ukraine, but from what you have seen so far, you can imgine that we are not going to sit idle," he said.

This $100 million aid package includes mainly the same equipment that the U.S. has given to Ukraine before. Since the beginning of Russia's large-scale invasion of Ukraine, the United States has provided Ukrainian citizens with over $4 billion worth of aid.

In particular, Ukraine received from the Americans 90 pieces of 155-mm howitzers, over 200,000 artillery shells, 1,400 Stinger air defense systems, over 5,000 Javelin anti-tank systems and over 700 Switchblade tactical pilotless air defense systems.

Kirby said the United States is not the only country that is supporting Ukraine with armaments. He also reiterated that the United States will continue to work with partners and allies to help Ukrainians protect their national sovereignty.

We would like to remind you that US President Joe Biden, after the positive vote of the Senate for the aid package for Ukraine, announced the transfer of additional artillery, radars and other equipment to our country. The Secretary of State Antoni Blinken specified that he was requesting up to 100 million dollars worth of additional equipment from the US Department of Defense's stockpile for Ukraine's defense.
