Six civilians were killed in enemy shelling in the Luhansk region on Friday (May 20th). The occupiers struck at the school and the “Azot” association in Severodonetsk. For the past 24hrs, about 50 houses in the Luhansk region have been destroyed, - announced by the head of the regional military administration Serhiy Haiday.
"On the morning of May 20, the russians fired on a school where the residents of Severodonetsk new districts had been hiding in the basement since the beginning of the war. As a result, two people died on the spot and three others were hospitalized.
A man and a woman died last night near their house in Severodonetsk. Two women were killed by russian shelling in Lysychansk and Pryvillya.
A volunteer who worked at the humanitarian headquarters in Severodonetsk was also wounded in the leg.
"In a day - about 50 destroyed houses. It is difficult to count how many homes are destroyed every day in the villages of Hirske and Popasna communities, which regularly suffer from aviation. However, only in Lysychansk 23 houses were damaged during a day, 16 in neighboring Plryvillya, 5 in Severodonetsk ", - Serhiy Haiday noted.
He added that the russians also opened fire on the school and the “Azot” association, where the cooling tower caught fire. The fire was extinguished, the flames did not spread to nearby production facilities. It was no less tough in Lysychansk, where a coal bunker caught fire in a mine.
