Mykhailo Podolyak, an adviser to the head of the President's Office, is confident that with the help of multiple rocket launchers (MLRS) and other heavy weapons, Ukraine will be able to cope with unblocking the Black Sea on its own.

He wrote about this in his Telegram channel.

"1.6 bln people may become malnourished due to food shortages. Hundreds of millions will find themselves on the brink of poverty due to rising prices. The Economist predicts the consequences of russian aggression and offers the world to negotiate with russia and Ukraine on international food convoys in the Black Sea," he said.

Podoliak reiterated the futility of trying to "bargain with a country that has taken hundreds of millions hostage."

"We have a better idea: the world should agree on the transfer to Ukraine of MLRS systems and other necessary heavy weapons to unblock the Black Sea. Then we will do everything ourselves," said the adviser to the head of the OP.

russian blockade hinders food exports from Ukraine. This, in turn, threatens millions of people around the world with malnutrition and hunger. russia has stated that it demands the lifting of sanctions in exchange for unblocking Ukrainian seaports. However, the Presidential Office of Ukraine stated that this is direct blackmail.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on the world community to help Ukraine unblock seaports, otherwise the energy crisis will be followed by a food crisis and many more countries will face it. He also stated that he expects to provide US MLRS after the Rammstein-2 meeting.

M270 MLRS is an American rocket-propelled grenade launcher, designed to perform at any time of day and in different weather conditions, is used for destruction from closed firing positions at distances up to 120 km, the area affected by 25 hectares.
