On 4 June, President of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe Leendert Verbeek and Secretary General of the Congress Andreas Kiefer arrived in Bucha in cooperation with the Association of Ukrainian Cities.
This was reported by the mayor of Bucha Anatoliy Fedoruk.
He stressed that such meetings allow not only to show the world community the crimes of the russian occupiers in Ukraine but also to find partners who will help with the reconstruction of the destroyed settlements.
«Together with the director of the Association of Cities of Ukraine, Oleksandr Slobozhan, we showed how our city is being restored... We also talked about the crimes of the russians and the punishment they should bear for the damage caused to Ukrainians», the Bucha Mayor said.
He added that he expects the case, which involves 10 other russian aggressors who robbed citizens' apartments, to be sent to an international court. The perpetrators have already been identified by Ukrainian law enforcement.
Prime Minister of Finland Sanna Marin recently visited Irpin and Bucha. Earlier, the speakers of the two chambers of the Irish Parliament visited here.
