The Russian military is preparing provocations in occupied Kherson Region on the occasion of Russia Day, the Operational Command South has warned.
"A programme has been rolled out in occupied Kherson Region to mark the so-called 'Russia Day' with festivities and mass events. According to the information available, the occupying troops are preparing provocative shelling of such crowds to late blame it on the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the OC South said.
On 12 June 1990, the declaration of Russia's state sovereignty was adopted in Moscow. Since 1992, this date has been called Russia Day there.
Although the occupying authorities organized festivities in occupied Kherson Region, local residents did not show up.
