Ukraine has not received any signals from Turkey regarding possible negotiations between the Ukrainian and Russian presidents, presidential office head Andriy Yermak has said at a briefing following the first meeting of the group on international security guarantees for Ukraine.
Ukraine is in consultations on the ways of unblocking Ukrainian ports. However, there are no specific agreements on the date of a corresponding meeting in Turkey yet.
"As far as Turkey is concerned, there are no negotiations and agreements regarding a meeting between the presidents of Ukraine and Russia yet. We have not heard about such signals. Our position on this issue is well known to all. The president has talked a lot about it," he said.
At the same time, consultations with Turkey on unblocking the export of Ukrainian grain continue, he added.
According to Yermak, Ukraine should receive a guarantee to resume exports.
"The first priority for us is the issue of security. It is very important strategically. It is difficult to talk about it without security guarantees. But consultations continue," the head of the presidential office added.
Earlier in June, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced new talks with Zelenskyy and Putin to unblock grain exports. On 30 May, Erdogan had telephone conversations with the presidents of Ukraine and Russia.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed that he was ready to talk to Putin, with or without mediators, if Russia was ready to end the war and get out of our territories.
