Yesterday, another body of a civilian killed by the Russians was found in Bucha District of Kyiv Region. A total of 1,356 bodies of civilians killed by the occupiers have already been found in the region, the press service of the Kyiv regional police has said, quoting its chief Andriy Nyebytov.

He added that 207 residents of the region are considered missing as of now.

The dead resident was found by foresters in the forest near the village of Zdvyzhivka. They told a police officer in the Bucha community that they were carrying out landscaping work here. Near former Russian positions, they smelled a distinctive dead body odour.

When investigators and forensic officers conducted a preliminary examination of the body of the deceased, who was lying in one of the trenches, they saw a rope on his arms.

The police added that almost two dozen Ukrainians killed by the Russians had already been found in Zdvyzhivka.

"We can confirm that this is the body of a civilian man. He had wading boots on. The man's hands were tied, a car cover was placed over his head and he was executed. The approximate age of the deceased is 40-50 years old. There were injuries on his neck and torso. The dead man was wearing high boots and was carrying a Seiko watch," Nyebytov said.

The final cause of death will be determined by forensic examination.
