Authorities in Kherson Region have assessed whether it is safe for local residents to evacuate to the territory controlled by Ukraine on their own, using the services of private carriers.
The Kherson regional administration concluded that independent evacuation is life-threatening.
"There are no official 'green corridors'. Therefore, use only verified sources of information. The regional military administration together with the chairmen of territorial communities, village councils and aldermen are taking measures to organise the evacuation of the population," the regional authorities said.
The current head of Kherson Region, Yaroslav Yanushevych, said that active hostilities are continuing in the region and the situation remains difficult.
