The Ukrainian Armed Forces have forded the Oskil River in Donbas, the Strategic Communications Department has said.
Ukrainian troops have restored control of the territory since yesterday.
British intelligence said on 17 September that "Russia likely sees maintaining control of this zone as important because it is transited by one of the few main resupply routes Russia still controls from the Belgorod region of Russia".
