Nearly 200 Russian army soldiers were killed tonight in the town of Svatove, Luhansk Region, as a result of an explosion, the head of the Luhansk regional military administration, Serhiy Hayday, has said.
The explosion took place on the premises of a former bus station.
According to Hayday, the occupiers turned it into a hotel.
He added that Russians had stepped up street checks and been pulling up reserves to beef up the defence.
